THE APL2WEB SYSTEM OF STRUCTURED DOCUMENTATION PACKAGE
                         Disk A

                       Including
             the `real' APL2WEB files and
             the emTeX fonts extension files.

The most important files of this distribution are the `real'
APL2WEB files.

 TANGLE .EXE
 WEAVE .EXE' in "\root\apl2web",

which should be copied to the directory "\apl2web" on your hard disk
and the two batchfiles:

 ATANGLE .BAT
 AWEAVE .BAT in "\root\batch",

prevent you from adding "\apl2web" to your PATH. You should therefore
always call the batch files, which assume that your hard disk is the
drive C !!!!!. Change this if the drive where you wish to install
your APL2WEB system is a different one. It is important to know that
the function TANGLE within the different TANGLE workspaces calls
the batchfile ATANGLE.

In addition, you have to extend your existing LaTeX system.

You have to read the following lines only if your LaTeX system
is from E.Matthes's emTeX package. It is assumed that you have
installed the LaTeX macro package from emTeX as it is described
in the emTeX 'readme' files, so that extending your emTEX package
the, way it is been described in the file "readmefi.rst," should
cause no problems.

The files provided on this disk (disk A) are the ones you have
to use for extending your existing emTeX package for a proper
usage of the APL2WEB system of structured documentation. But the
files on this disk only provide the new CCAPL* fonts.

The CCAPL tex font metric files and the pixel font files included
by the file "lj_apl.fli" have been created for screen and printer
drivers using HP LASERJET compatible device drivers. The resolution
is 300 dpi.
If you are not able to work with such font files you have to take the
CCAPL METAFONT source files on disk B to create new pixel fonts and
tex font metric files.
In any other case the files on this disk are the only ones you have
to install to provide the CCAPL fonts for your emTeX package.
Having done this, you have to get the files on disk C to install
the style files ending the extension of your emTeX system.
See the file 'readmefi.rst' for the complete installation instructions.

Now you have to copy all the TFM files to the directory of your emTeX
system where the other TFM files are being kept. Usually that is the
directory "\emtex\tfm":

 CCABF10 .TFM
 CCABF8 .TFM
CCABF9 .TFM : concrete APL bold face
 CCAPL10 .TFM
 CCAPL7 .TFM
 CCAPL8 .TFM
 CCAPL9 .TFM : concrete APL
 CCASL10 .TFM
 CCASL7 .TFM
 CCASL8 .TFM
CCASL9 .TFM : concrete APL slanted
 CCATT10 .TFM
 CCATT8 .TFM
CCATT9 .TFM : concrete APL typewriter

These files have to be found in "\emtex\tfm" on disk A.

Having copied the TFM files to the correct directory of your
emTeX system you have to copy the font library file 'lj_apl.fli'
to the directory "\texfonts" of your emTeX system.
LJ_APL.FLI includes the different pixel font files for device
drivers which are able to cope with HP LASERJET pixel font files.

 LJ_APL .FLI : in "\emtex\texfonts"

As mentioned in the description of the installation of the
APL2WEB sytem you have to add the font library file LJ_APL to
the row of the file LJ.CNF (usually kept in "\emtex") where the
existing FLI files are mentioned ( /pl=%DVIDRVFONTS%lj_1;... ).
